Bashar Jazmati,
Managing Director
Founder and Group MD of UEP, Bashar brings with him 20 years’ experience in investment banking (Project Finance, M&A and Structured Funding) and corporate strategic development (business and market expansion, Joint Ventures, Listings), having worked for leading firms in the sector including HSBC, ANZ Bank, Pertamina Group and Lukoil across Paris, London, Dubai, Singapore and Jakarta. From the Singapore and Jakarta office, Bashar leads the UEP operation, strategic expansion and covers the group’s key focus markets and clients in Asia / Africa.
Stephen Prendergast
Senior Expert Advisor, Project Finance
Stephen brings extensive established experience in funding structuring and execution within Project and Structured financing gained in over 15 years’ experience having worked for leading banks including RBS, MUFG Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, ANZ Bank, EY Group in Australia and Asia. Stephen leads the UEP operation in Australia and heads the funding execution delivery services.

Ihsan is a veteran capital markets professional with extensive experience having led the capital markets teams in Commerzbank Middle East and Africa coverage, Barwa Bank Qatar and HSBC Middle East Dubai and British Arab Commercial Bank in London. Post his corporate career, and leveraging his focus on the African region, Ihsan set up Afric'Emergence in Dubai that focuses on serving the African sovereign and corporate markets with structured funding and capital markets solutions based out of Dubai.
